So close! Joost was on fire in Champery and showed the world he is still one of the best mountainbikers around. In the big final he was up against Graves, Prokop and Rinderknecht. His start was excellent, but a hugh crash put him, Prokop and Rinderknecht to the ground. Graves was on his wat to tittle but crashed too. Prokop was took the number one spot, Rinderknecht was second, and Joost had to settle for bronze. A dissapointment after everything that happened on the track, but also a very good result.
