World Championships MTB 2010 in Mont St. Anne: preview

The most important and biggest event of the year! Joost The Boost is ready to go, aiming for a medal that still lacks his career. Read all about it.

Last week Joost crashed during the Windham World Cup (twice) but he assured us he is ok and confident for this important race. If you want to wish him good luck, please leave a message in the guestbook or send him a tweet.

It's going to be hot, literaly. Mont St. Anne, the Canadian mountainbike heaven, is like an oven at this moment. Today the Four Cross event starts, with the first training. Qualifications are tomorrow. You can follow it on the UCI website with Live Timing, at 0000 CET.

Saturday morning, at 0300 CET, it's really going to start. The finals will be held under floodlights. You can watch it on Freecaster.tv, but you'll need to buy a password. We're confident it's going to be a thriller. To get in the mood, here's a promo-video:

Let's take a look at the start list. Ofcourse, all the big names are there, including all the members of the R.S.P. Mountainbike Team. At this moment 33 riders have entered the competition. Favorites? Graves, Slavik, Wichman, Prokop and Rinderknecht. Maybe even Saladini, Marosi and Tatarkovic.

A preview isn't complete without a quick look back at the last years World Championships. Graves took the vicory in his home country, Joost got eliminated in the semis by a flat tire.
