World Cup Four Cross 1 in Houffalize: 5th place

It ended in the semi-final. Joost had a shitty start and it's difficult to pass someone on the World Cup track in Houffalize. A bit of a dissapointment because Joost was feeling good.

Graves was the best of all, winning the first World Cup of this season. R.S.P. teammate Slavik tried to beat him with some daredevil moves but it didn't work. Second place, a great achievement.

Joost reached the semi final easily, winning all his heats without any real threat. But all the topriders were on a roll. Dutchies Prijkel and Van Veghel didn't make it and went out in the first round.

In the 1/8 final we lost outsider Mechura, he fell in the heat Joost won. Polc was out and, a dissapointment, Meijer as well.

The big guns kept it cool in the quater finals. Marosi fell but all the expected names were at the gate for the semis. Joost's start wasn't good, not as good as in the previous rounds. Rinderknecht was faster on the first straight and Slavik passed him in the first turn. No final.

In the small final Wichman was impressive again. He was really focussed to win this one and he pulled it off. Great riding, to bad it was just for 5th place.

Season has started and although the track in Houffalize wasn't real spectacular it was still an exciting evening. It looks like the group of topriders has gotten bigger...

1. Jared Graves
2. Tomas Slavik
3. Michal Prokop
4. Roger Rinderknecht
5. Joost Wichman
