Since big sponsors as Nissan use 4X as a marketing tool, the media coverage increased incredibily. Since 2007 all the World Cups were broadcasted on Extreme Sports Channel and Eurosport2. Two races were even broadcasted live on TV.

Internet is also an important medium for 4X. Websites as Freecaster.tv and Mtbcut.tv bring the sport live into the livingrooms of thousands of fans.

All around the World there are several magazines who follow the sport closely. Racereports, background information and stories about the athletes. Joost appeared in magazines in Germany, England, Holland and Spain. And as an official athlete for Rockstar, KTM, UFO and MeatFly Joost has done some great photoshoots
