Joost Wichman has been named 'Gravity Mountainbiker of the Year'! The election was an initiative of the influential Dutch cyclingmagazine Wieler Magazine.

Wichman's season was a big succes. He won his first World Cup ever in Andorra, followed by victories in Slovenia and Canada. He ended up second in het World Ranking of the UCI.

The jury was very clear about it's choice. Last season was undoubtedly Wichman's big breakthrough and the jurymembers wondered where this big step forward will lead to. Wichman was clear about his main goal for next season: The World Championships in Canada.

Next year Wichman is wearing the red-white R.S.P. jersey again. But there are going to be some changes. More about that will follow very soon!
